WETM Channel 18 My Twin Tiers reported recently that a motor vehicle accident took place in Middlebury Township in the early morning hours of Sunday, January 17, 2021 along Norris Brook Road.
According to law enforcement officials, the incident took place between 1:00 a.m. and 1:15 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) on Sunday, January 17, 2021, along Norris Brook Road near Middlebury. While details are scarce, the vehicle that was involved came to rest on its side, blocking the roadway. The crash is under investigation.

WKTV Channel 2 NBC News reported recently that a train collided with a motor vehicle in Whitestown, with the driver of the motor vehicle miraculously escaping with only minor injuries.
According to representatives of the Utica Fire Department, the incident occurred on Saturday, January 16 near the West End Auto Shop on Oriskany Street. The car, an SUV, was reportedly trying to enter the Scooby Rendering property when it stalled on the tracks about 20 feet off the roadway. The oncoming train was unable to stop and struck the vehicle, but the driver was not badly hurt and was able to walk to a nearby auto shop and call 911. He was taken to St Elizabeth’s Medical Center for treatment and given a ticket for failure to stop at a railroad crossing.
