Patch.com reported on a car accident in Westchester County that led to the death of a motorist last Saturday.
The accident occurred on the Saw Mill River Parkway in Bedford Hills around 7:00 p.m. Saturday evening, in the Route 117/Cherry Street area, when a car that was northbound on the parkway struck another car in the rear, forcing the driver to lose control and propelling the vehicle off the road and into a tree. The driver, alone in the vehicle, was ejected from the vehicle and killed by the impact, being pronounced dead at the scene according to emergency responders. His identity was not released pending notification of his next of kin,

In Rochester, according to Channel 13 WHAM ABC News, a 43-year-old man allegedly caused a car wreck Monday morning on I-490 eastbound when he lost control of a box truck, causing it to overturn. This blocked multiple lanes of traffic. According to New York State Police, the man fled the scene on foot but was eventually taken into custody. He faces charges of driving while intoxicated (DWI) and leaving the scene of an accident.
