The Buffalo News reported recently that a motor vehicle accident in Orleans County on the afternoon of last Wednesday, February 17, 2021 had fatal consequences for a local man after he collided with another vehicle head-on.
According to officials from the New York State Police Department, the incident occurred between 3:30 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) on the morning of Wednesday, February 17, 2021 along West County House Road in Albion, a town in upstate New York between the cities of Rochester and Buffalo just south of Lake Ontario. A man from the Rochester suburb of Hamlin, 46 years of age, died at the scene of the accident of injuries sustained in a head-on collision between his vehicle, which was a 2016 Jeep, and a 2010 Dodge.

According to investigators, the victim was westbound on West County House Road in his 2016 Jeep when the 2010 Dodge attempted to turn left from the eastbound lane of West County House Road into a driveway and strayed into his path. The two vehicles collided head-on causing the Jeep to overturn several times. The victim was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.
The incident is under an active investigation, although no charges for the other driver have been announced at this time.
