WSYR Local Syracuse News reported recently that a tractor-trailer crash in Camillus on Friday, December 18, caused power outages because of downed utility poles.
The incident occurred around noon on Friday when a tractor-trailer crashed along NY State Route 5. The road was closed for almost ten hours and power wasn’t restored for eight hours after the accident. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident.
My Twin Tiers reported on another tractor-trailer accident the same day that shut down portions of Route 6 in Wysox near Jackson’s Trailer Park. The incident was responded to by the Wysox Volunteer Fire Company.

CDLLife.com reported that a snowmobiler was killed in a collision with a semi-truck in upstate NY around 2:30 a.m. EST on Thursday, December 17. The incident took place near Exit 4B on Highway 787 and shut the highway down for several hours for cleanup and investigation.
The Daily Voice reported that the Nassau County Police have announced the apprehension of a man wanted for a Long Island carjacking on Wednesday, December 9, after he attempted to flee police and got in an accident. The 2019 Cadillac SUV has been recovered, and the carjacker is in custody.
