According to a recent story appearing on the Patch.com website, three teenage boys were crossing the intersection of 21st Street and 45th Avenue in Long Island City on the afternoon of Wednesday, June 9, 2021, when they were struck by a vehicle.
A spokesperson for the New York City Police Department said in a statement that paramedics were called to the scene of the accident. The three boys were transported via ambulance to New York-Presbyterian in Manhattan.
Officials say that two of the teens have been treated and are listed in stable condition. The third teen is currently listed in serious condition.
NYPD investigators had not listed any further information about the accident at the time of the report. An NYPD officer told reporters that there are traffic signals and marked crosswalks in the area.
