Channel 10 ABC News reported on a motorcycle accident that led to the death of a local man in Bethlehem, NY last Saturday night.
According to spokespeople from the Bethlehem Police Department, a 50-year-old Selkirk man died Sunday night as a result of injuries he sustained in a severe motorcycle accident the night before. Police responded to a call from a passing motorist regarding a motorcycle crash around 9:45 p.m. at the intersection of Creble Road and Elm Avenue in Selkirk.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the man was operating a 2015 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, headed north on Creble Road, at the time of the accident. For unknown reasons still under investigation, he crossed the double yellow line at the center of the roadway and went off the road on the shoulder along the southbound lane, landing in a ditch adjacent to the roadway.
Police stated the victim was in serious condition and was treated at the accident scene for injuries, after which he was transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital. He succumbed to his injuries after arriving at the hospital.
