Oswego County Today reported on a 22-year-old Oswego man in critical condition after a car accident in the town of Scriba.
Just before 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16, the driver and sole occupant of a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was traveling in a northerly direction along Silk Road in the town of Scriba. For reasons unknown and still under investigation, the vehicle left the west side of the roadway and eventually struck a tree. Deputies of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched after receiving reports of a wrecked truck and located the man and his vehicle. The man had injuries considered by responding EMS personnel to be life-threatening, and he was transported to Upstate University Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
In addition to the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, other responding agencies that assisted at the scene included the Scriba Volunteer Fire Department, New Haven Volunteer Fire Department, Minetto Volunteer Fire Department and Menter Ambulance.
The crash is still under investigation.
