The Hudson Valley 360 reports that on Saturday, June 19, 2021, one person was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Ulster County in Kiskatom.
The fatal crash happened along Route 32 near Game Farm Road when the 41-year-old woman driving a Toyota RAV4 pulled into a parking lot and turned in front of the motorcyclist, causing him to be ejected from his bike.
The Kiskatom Fire Company and the Catskill Ambulance Service, and the Greene County Paramedics were all called to the crash scene.
Authorities say that a Life Net helicopter was also placed on hold but was not needed.
Beau Duffy, director of the state’s public information officer, told members of the press in a statement that a 68-year-old Kingston man was taken to Columbia Memorial Health, where he was later pronounced dead.
The accident is still under investigation. So far, no charges have been filed against the driver of the Toyota SUV.
The second motorcycle and car crash happened on the morning of Sunday, June 20. A motorcyclist was operating his bike on County Road 21C when he crashed into a car that was backing out of a driveway.
The motorcyclist was taken to Columbia Memorial Health for treatment of back injuries.
In the early evening hours on Sunday, a third crash involving a motorcycle and a car happened in Catskill when a 49-year-old female motorist attempted a left turn into a gas station and struck a motorcyclist in a head-on collision.
The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital complaining of arm and leg pain after the crash.
All three accidents are still currently under investigation.
