Patch reported recently that a three-car crash in the New York City suburb of Yorktown, NY was responsible for the death of a Mohegan Lake woman early this week.
The incident occurred around 6:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) on Monday, December 28 in Yorktown, NY. A woman from Mohegan Lake, 70 years of age, was westbound on Crompond Road in a 2012 Honda Civic sedan when she crashed into an eastbound BMW driven by an Irvington resident 64 years of age. A third vehicle, driven by a Peerskill resident 27 years of age, was unable to avoid the chaos and crashed into the other vehicles.

The crash remains under investigation by the Town of Yorktown Police Department Accident Investigation Unit and the Westchester County Department of Public Safety Accident Investigation Unit. Syracuse.com reported recently that according to officials with the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office, a man from Jordan, 32 years old, was killed when he lost control of a snowmobile and crashed into a tree. The accident took place just before 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, December 29, in West Turin and the man was declared dead at the scene of the accident.
