QSN.com reported recently that a person died in a fatal accident involving a Long Island Rail Road train on the morning of Wednesday, November 4.
The incident occurred around 7 a.m. at the Laurelton Station at 224-49 Prospect Court, according to information from officials of the New York City Fire Department, when an unidentified person was struck by a LIRR train as it entered the station. EMS personnel responded, but sadly, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The incident is currently under investigation, and no other details have been released so far by first responders.

The North Orange Daily Voice reported that a bicyclist was killed that same day in Ulster County in a collision with a school bus after failing to yield to a stop sign.
The victim, a man 54 years of age, was biking northeast on the new Greenline bicycle path in Kingston, along the right side of Greenkill Avenue, when he ran a stop sign at the intersection of Wilbur Avenue and Greenkill. A school bus turning right onto Wilbur struck the bicyclist, knocking him off the bike and then running over him.
The bicyclist was reportedly not wearing a helmet and suffered serious internal injuries. He was pronounced dead at Health Alliance of the Hudson Valley Hospital in Kingston.
