WHEC Channel 10 NBC News reported recently that a recent four-vehicle car wreck Tuesday afternoon in the Ontario County town of Canandaigua led to at least one fatality and two injuries.
According to officials with the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred between 3:00 p.m. and 3:10 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon near the intersection of Airport Road and New York State Route 332, just north of the central district of Canandaigua. The initial investigation indicates a Ford Fusion sedan and a Mercedes were both southbound on NY State Route 332 when both collided with a tractor-trailer turning onto Airport Road. An SUV at the traffic signal was also involved in the wreck. The sheriff’s office believes the two southbound vehicles on NY State Route 332 may have been speeding.
