In upstate New York, two children were seriously injured in a boating accident on Fourth Lake near the town of Webb this weekend, according to WIBX 950 AM radio. New York State Police and the Town of Webb Police Department are investigating the incident, in which a boat driven by a 22-year-old man collided with a boat occupied by three adults and two six-year-old children.
Both children were transported to Upstate Hospital by Mercy Flight along with one adult, all in critical condition; another adult was transported to St Luke’s Hospital with serious injuries. The 22-year-old man has been arrested on charges of Operating A Vessel While Impaired and Vehicular Assault.

Patch.com reported a tragic update to a recent news story about a motorcyclist critically injured by a vehicle accident in North Patchogue, reporting that the motorcyclist has succumbed to the injuries he sustained in his crash and passed away, according to spokespeople from the Suffolk Police.
The man was riding his Kawasaki motorcycle northbound on North Ocean Avenue around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night when a 24-year-old Patchogue man driving a 2010 Acura headed south made a left turn onto eastbound Shaber Road and collided with him. The motorcycle rider was taken by ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital in critical condition. The car’s passengers were taken to Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue for injuries that were less serious and not considered life-threatening.
The motorcyclist, sadly, was pronounced dead of his injuries later that night.
