The Nassau Daily Voice reported that a trio of people are wanted for fleeing the scene of an accident on Long Island on Monday, October 12 after allegedly stolen from local gas stations earlier in the evening.
According to officials from the Suffolk County Police, there were three people in a 2017 Jeep Cherokee that had been reported stolen on Monday from its owner in the Bronx. The driver had reportedly stolen gasoline from a gas station in Middle Island after the car theft, while the two passengers were caught on surveillance cameras stealing from a convenience store in Holbrook.

Around 10:30 p.m. that evening, according to Suffolk County Police, the driver of the Jeep was headed southbound on William Floyd Parkway and ran through a traffic signal ignoring the red light, striking a 2008 Nissan that had been lawfully headed west through the intersection with a green light.
Three occupants of the Nissan were treated for serious and life-threatening injuries by first responders. The Jeep and its occupants fled the scene without stopping. It is unknown whether any of them were injured. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of these individuals.
