The Scarsdale Hartsdale Daily Voice reported on a pedestrian that was hit by a car and killed last Wednesday at a busy Scarsdale intersection.
The incident happened around 8 in the morning on Wednesday, October 7 near the intersection of Crane Road and Church Lane in Scarsdale. Officers from the Scarsdale Police Department were dispatched to the intersection in response to a report of a serious crash involving a pedestrian, according to a spokesperson from the organization.
Upon arriving at the accident scene, Scarsdale Police officers found the pedestrian and they, along with responding paramedics, administered first aid to the victim. The victim was then transported to Westchester Medical Center for treatment, where she sadly succumbed to her grievous injuries.

The spokesperson for the Scarsdale Police Department noted that first responders were being assisted at the scene of the accident by the Westchester County Police Accident Investigation Unit. They also report that the driver remained at the scene of the accident and is fully cooperating with the investigators. The identity of the pedestrian is currently being withheld pending notification of family or next-of-kin. The accident investigation is ongoing and more information will be released, according to the responding investigators.
