The Clinton, Essex, And Franklin Counties Press-Republican reported that a pedestrian was killed on Saturday, October 24 in an accident with a motor vehicle according to representatives of the New York State Police.
The incident occurred around 12:45 a.m. on Saturday, Oct 24, when state troopers from the New York State Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle incident involving a pedestrian in the town of Schuyler Falls, along State Route 22B. Initial investigations indicated that the incident occurred when a 2007 Hyundai Elantra sedan driven by a Plattsburgh man, 19 years of age, was driving down SR 22B and struck a pedestrian, a Schuyler Falls man 37 years of age, near the facilities of the Morrisonville Fire Department as he walked along the roadway. He was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The Clinton County Coroner authorized the victim’s body to be transported to the University of Vermont Health Network Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh for an autopsy. The autopsy procedure was performed on Monday, Oct 26. The autopsy results are pending and the investigation is currently in progress.
