The Rockville Centre, NY Patch reported recently on a tragic motor vehicle accident in Rockville Centre that led to the death of a local motorcyclist late in the evening of Saturday, April 24, 2021.

According to a news release issued by the Nassau County Police Department, the incident took place between 5:20 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) on Saturday, April 24, 2021 near the intersection of Sunrise Highway and Yorktown Avenue in Rockville Centre, an incorporated village in Nassau County, NY along the southern coast of Long Island, part of the town of Hempstead. A local man, 29 years of age, was traveling east on Sunrise Highway near Yorktown Avenue on a motorcycle when he collided with another vehicle. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital of the injuries he sustained in the incident. The other driver sustained only minor injuries.
The police have not released the identities of either of the people involved in the accident, or any other specific information related to the accident.
