Patch reported recently that two drivers were injured on Sunday, December 27 during a motor vehicle accident in Huntington Station, a hamlet in Suffolk County near the north shore of Long Island.
According to officials from the Suffolk County Police Department and the Huntington Manor Fire Department, the incident took place in front of the Wendy’s restaurant at the intersection of Jericho Turnpike and Cager Place between 12:40 p.m. and 12:45 p.m. on the afternoon of Sunday, December 27. Two vehicles collided, a silver Honda CR-V sport-utility vehicle and a red Lamborghini roadster, causing severe damage to both vehicles. The drivers were medically transported to Huntington Hospital by Huntington Community First Aid Squad with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, and responding firefighters cleaned up hazardous fluid spills using speedy dry materials and cleared the wreck.

The accident is still under an active investigation by the Suffolk County Police Department and eyewitnesses or those with relevant information should contact them with anything to add. The identities of the injured parties, the cause of the collision, or any other details about the accident have not yet been released by the relevant agencies.
