Patch reported recently that a second deadly crash occurred on the Meadowbrook Parkway on Veteran’s Day, leaving an elderly man from Elmont dead just hours after a Freeport teen was killed in another wreck with several others seriously injured.
The accident took place around 8:30 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the parkway, between exits M7 and M8. The minivan then struck a third car headed south.
The minivan was driven by an Elmont man 70 years of age who was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. His passenger was rushed to Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital with injuries described as serious.
