State Police troopers found debris from the pickup truck at the scene of the crash. The parts that were specific to the truck’s make and model helped investigators locate the hit-and-run driver. The driver has been identified as Eustaquio Vasquez Dominguez of Plain City Ohio.
While being questioned, State Police troopers determined that Dominguez had been intoxicated at the time of the crash. Dominguez refused a breathalyzer test. A court order issued by the Westchester County Court allowed investigators to obtain a blood sample from him.
