101.5 WPDH The Home of Rock N Roll reported on a Hudson Valley accident in which a young woman lost her life after striking a deer on Monday, September 28 in Lloyd, NY.
According to the New York State Police, the accident happened early Monday afternoon on State Route 9W near the town of Lloyd. A truck was driving south on State Route 9W when it hit a deer, knocking it into the windshield of a 2001 Subaru Legacy that was being driven by a 25-year-old man with a 23-year-old woman from Newburh in the passenger seat. Both the driver and the passenger were transported to Mid Hudson Regional Hospital, and while the driver suffered from injuries that were not life threatening, the passenger suffered very severe injuries and succumbed to them.
