The driver of the other vehicle involved in the accident, a 47-year-old woman from Clifton Park, was pinned in the vehicle until extricated by first responders. She was taken to Albany Medical Center with serious injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, as was the woman who caused the wreck.
The first driver was interviewed by state troopers at the scene of the accident, who reportedly observed signs of intoxication. They were able to perform only partial field sobriety tests due to the woman’s injuries. She was arraigned and released to appear in court at a later date, where she will face charges of driving while intoxicated and second-degree vehicular assault.
