The accident caused a large amount of hydraulic fluid to be spilled onto Route 303 and an adjoining parking lot. Due to the ramifications of this spill, Route 303 was closed to vehicular traffic between Lake Road in Valley Cottage and Lake Road in Congers for several hours to allow cleanup efforts to take place. Castlton Environmental Contractors LLC cleaned up the hydraulic fluid and prevented further runoff without causing any additional contamination.
Police have not released further information about identities of victims or circumstances surrounding the accident.
