We Investigate to Determine Fault and Liability for Your Truck Accident Case
Some of the above incidents indicate that a truck driver (or the company that employs the driver) was not obeying transportation laws or following safety standards.
The duty of servicing and maintaining equipment, driving safely, and training truck drivers falls on the drivers and the enterprises that employ them. If either party fails in this duty, and you are injured as a result, that party is legally at fault and liable for any damages that stem from your injury.
The Hempstead truck accident lawyers at Friedman & Simon L.L.P. know where to look for signs of fault and liability. We will search and find whoever caused your truck accident, then we will fight to have that person or entity compensate you for your injuries.

Hempstead Truck Accidents News
Stolen Truck Leads To Police Chase, Crash In Hempstead
Stolen Truck Leads To Police Chase, Crash In Hempstead
It wasn’t until 2006 that New York had specific statutes governing people who flee from police officers in their motor vehicles. Before that, trying to elude a police officer was just a traffic infraction, “failure to obey a police officer.” Now, there are three separate statutes governing fleeing from a police officer. The first is a Class A misdemeanor. It happens when a person tries to flee an officer and drives recklessly or speeds. The charge can be upgraded to a Class E felony if anyone suffers from serious injury while the person is trying to flee. Finally, it can be upgraded to a Class D felony if someone is killed. Each of them carries very serious penalties.
The Merrick New York Patch reports that a man involved in a police chase that ended in a crash that injured another person has been captured. The police chase began at about 9:30 p.m. when officers noticed a pickup truck that had been reported stolen on Terrace Avenue in Hempstead.
The driver of the stolen pickup truck, 23-year-old Ryan Buonauro drove off and began driving in a reckless manner. As he fled, he drove into a 2007 Toyota 4Runner that was stopped at a stop sign. Buonauro kept driving after the crash. The driver of the 4Runner suffered from non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Buonauro is facing a slew of charges, including charges related to the stolen vehicle and charges related to leaving the scene of an accident. Buonauro was arrested three times in the past month, on December 21, December 31, and January 6th. He was released each time on ROR due to the new bail law.
