The New York Post reported recently that a driver careened into an outdoor dining area outside a Greenwich Village eatery Wednesday, narrowly missing diners as well as pedestrians.
The incident took place around 4:30 p.m. outside of Cuba Restaurant between West 3rd Street and Bleecker Street. according to officials from the New York City Police Department. A 61-year-old man driving a black Mercedes Benz pulled out of a parking garage onto Thompson Street and lost control of the vehicle, careening through a divider and sending chairs flying in the eatery’s outdoor area. Fortunately, no diners were seated in the impact area and no one was injured by the crash.

Onlookers stated the driver appeared to be highly intoxicated, and surveillance video reportedly showed the Mercedes Benz was already at a high rate of speed when it pulled out of the parking garage. The driver was taken into custody after being treated at Bellevue Hospital, and charges are reportedly pending.
Yahoo! News reported recently that a motor vehicle accident involving multiple vehicles took place on Thanksgiving Day, shutting down the ramp for Exit 49 on I-84 westbound. At least one car flipped over a guardrail, although there have been no further specifics released about the incident.
